Kentucky Farm Stay

Feed the Animals
Come welcome our new baby animals. There is always something to see, alpacas, a new calf, baby chicks or others. Come visit the alpacas, Macie, Gracie and Zak. At Southern Grace Bed & Breakfast, you can enjoy alpaca farm life by hand feeding the alpacas, feed the ducks, feed the goats, baby chicks or gather free range eggs. Just let us know and we’ll equip you with all the feed to enjoy your time with the animals.

Southern Grace BB Fishing
Our ponds have 8-10 pound bass, 24-inch catfish, and large bluegill. One guest caught 17 bass in an hour and a half! Our fishing is catch and release. Bring your own poles or you can purchase one locally, very inexpensive.

Kentucky Farm Stay Outdoor Activities
Take in the farm activities of gathering eggs and feeding the ducks or enjoy a cool morning breeze sitting on the pond in the paddle boat. You can go bass fishing, or enjoy bike riding around on the lovely, slow-traffic country roads. Swim in the pool during season or if you enjoy gardening, I’m sure there is something for you to do.

Gather Farm Fresh Eggs at this Kentucky Farm Stay
Gathering free range eggs in the afternoon is a daily chore you are welcome to participate in with us. Also we have chickens that lay green and blue eggs! How about that, green eggs and ham!

Eat local, organic, farm to table foods
In season pick a few strawberries or blackberries and we may make some ice cream or shortcake. Always blackberry waffles and sweet potato waffles are available. No mater what, we serve food that is healthy, homemade and not processed foods.

Summertime by the pool
A Southern Grace evening offers relaxation around the pool with stargazing and listening to the night sounds of whippoorwills, frogs, and nightingales singing. You can also just enjoy the peace and tranquility of a life removed from stress.

Butterfly Gardens
Southern Grace Bed & Breakfast is filled with many butterfly habitats. At times, dozens of butterflies can be seen dancing majestically on the colorful gardens.

Visual Delight
It is not uncommon to see wild turkey on our farm and the great blue heron is here almost daily as well as wild ducks and an occasional deer and fox. In the wintertime we do lots of bird watching as we keep feeders full. There is nothing like a gorgeous snow covered ground with red cardinals all around.

Do you like to treat yourself now and then? Have you always fostered a love of animals and the rustic, simple life? You may not think that there are many places that can successfully combine these two seemingly competing ideas, but our bed and breakfast is certainly one of them.

Over the years, we at Southern Grace Bed & Breakfast Inn have successfully given guests a truly unique experience – one that they can’t find anywhere else. Our property marries tasteful elegance with the comforts of the Kentucky country experience.

Part of that experience involves unforgettable encounters with our farm animals, which include alpacas, baby goats, cows and chickens. Think of it like a luxurious farm stay, where you can go outside and even get your hands dirty feeding the critters while still enjoying comfortable lodgings and luxurious, rich meals made with fresh eggs gathered right here at the farm.

Our grounds are the perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking fall foliage this time of year, as well. Fall foliage tours are a popular and fun option for many families and couples, and you can have an incredible experience exploring the grounds of Southern Grace Bed & Breakfast. You may find yourself unwilling to come back inside!

Speaking of the indoors, a big part of what makes our Kentucky farm stay one-of-a-kind is the gorgeous elegance that awaits you inside. Each of the rooms at our B&B is fully furnished with antique style and rich Southern charm. Beyond just the wonderful décor, we also back up our guests’ experience with our care and attention to the details and offer every customer a chance to unwind and feel at home in a relaxing and nonjudgmental atmosphere.

We host visitors of all kinds for romantic stays, and even are a popular destination for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Guests love staying with us in the fall, enjoying crisp Kentucky air around the fire pit or basking in the vibrant colors of the season. Winter guests have plenty of delights as well, with the bounty of birds that stop by our birdfeeders as well as the quaint charms of rustic live cedar that we add around the bannisters and mantles to provide a real old-fashioned Christmas experience during the holiday season. Be sure to view our packages and specials to find a perfect package option that’s tailored to offer you the exact experience you’re looking for during your stay.

“Our first time at a bed and breakfast and for sure not our last. This place has set the bar very high and allowed us to have an incredibly enjoyable experience. I can’t raved enough out Southern Grace. Theresa and Dave are so accommodating, the rooms were great/clean, breakfast was outstanding (never really had farm fresh eggs), fishing was fun, farm animals were fun to watch and play with (adorable baby goats!), and just the whole property was relaxing and memorable.  Coming from Chicago, we were able to wind down and enjoy the simplicity of the town. I would recommend this place to anyone!”
